There is also information about summer placements and how they can progress your career, highlighting the experiences of one student who benefitted from a placement during her fourth year at university.

The WES September newsletter also highlights the charity’s student conference, which will take place on 18?19 November at Aston University in Birmingham. The focus of the conference will be on creating career confidence and will bring together more than 150 students, academics and early-mid career engineers from supporting industry to explore pathways to technical leadership.

Attendees can listen to inspirational speakers, have conversations about issues facing women in the workplace and improve their technical and networking skills so that they can reach their potential. If you haven't registered yet, now's the time to do it.
